We forgot to do blog yesterday. We had Reading Buddies after Music and read lots of great books!

We have Hot Lunch forms coming home today! It is on June 10th (which is our scheduled FUN DAY ---if the weather cooperates)  Our forms need to be returned by June 1st.

We did lots of Math today! We are continuing to work on subtraction.

In Science we are preparing for our Zoo Animal Enclosures. We discussed materials we could use and what our animal would need or want. We also discussed the Silverback Gorilla at the Calgary Zoo, Kakinga, passed away on Sunday night. He was 37 years old. We are sad we won't get to see him, but we will get to see the new baby gorilla.

Thursday, May 19th - Reading: Give it a Shot Student vs. Teacher Hockey Game at 10am AND Early Dismissal
Friday, May 20th - No School
Monday, May 23rd - No School
Tuesday, May 24th - Story Book Theatre
Wednesday, May 25th - Spring Concert - all grade 1 students will perform this evening
There will also be an afternoon performance probably around 1pm. 
June 1st - Hot Lunch forms and money due
