Where's my name from????

Today we started to talk about the new Princess of Cambridge. Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. It got us talking about where our names came from. Mrs. Nelson's names came from her Mom and Aunt's middle names. Talk with your child about where their names came from and why you chose those names.

We had an impromptu singing time when Mr. Rattan came in to ask about our Spring Concert costumes! We love to sing!

Mrs. Nelson was not here this afternoon. We had a substitute and we made him read a silly story to us! We love silly stories!

Have a great weekend!

Creative Minds

Today we discussed our feelings and that it was ok to feel all of them. We discussed that it wasn't ok, to hurt other people by using bad words or putting our hands on them. We coloured in a pizza pie or world showing how we feel!

This afternoon we were able to explore building things, with multiple activities. We built with Lego, gears, squigz, suspend, log cabin, blocks, and marble maze. It was a full afternoon of exploration!!!

Today was our last day of Inline Skating! Helmets should be coming home!

Tomorrow is Library Day! Please bring your library books back if you haven't already!

We had a fun day!

It's a Zoo in Here!!!!!!

Tomorrow is Hat Day! It is Hats on for Mental Health! We will be discussing our feelings and how we can deal with them appropriately. Please talk with your child about Mental Health and its importance! Can't wait to see all your beautiful hats!!!!

We had a WONDERFUL morning building our Zoo enclosures for our wild animals! We have some great and creative ideas! Thank you so much for all our Volunteers who helped out! We appreciate all your hard work! We would not have been able to be so successful without your help!

We will be able to take our enclosures home after our Division 1 assembly on May 28th. We will do some writing around these!

With Spring Fever in full swing, we have been having more incidents of students playing inappropriately with other kids. Please talk with your child about the importance of keeping our hands to ourselves.

This afternoon some students had a question about why there were so many strangers coming into our school. We talked about voting and how we are picking someone to "Take Care" of Alberta. We talked about how funding for our classes could be taken away and/or more students in each class. I tried to use kid language for all of these. They were interested so we dove in!
